Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Had a wonderful day in Baton Rouge. The hotel hostess told us about a great local attraction called the Rural Life Museum and Windrush Gardens. They were amazing. The museum is composed of 32 historic buildings on 25 acres. They were built and housed artifacts from the 18th and 19th centuries. My mom would love this place. It was so much fun to walk around and look at pieces of history. The Windrush Gardens were also a treat to walk around. The flowers were blooming, different sculptures were scattered along the path and the trees completed the Louisiana atmosphere. ~ March 25, 2011
