San Antonio, Texas

Woke up in the beautiful town of San Antonio and did some tourist things today before hitting the road. We traveled on the trolly, of course going in the opposite loop then what we wanted, but got to see more of the city this way :) Unexpectedly got off of a stop or two early because we drove by the Alamo. It was great to walk around this historic monument, learn about it's history, and appreciate why it is part of history. Even saw a real riffle and vest that was owned by Dave Crockett.

Then we continued onto our real destination the San Antonio River Walk. It is a wonderful walk around the town. You feel like you are walking around Parisian river filled with trees, beautiful architecture, winding staircases, and little restaurants. I had a wonderful time walking along the San Antonio River Walk. It was so nice to just stretch my legs, get some fresh air, and enjoy this beautiful place. I really loved all of the curves, patterns, and little details along the pathway.

I really fell in love with the curving of the river, the play of the sidewalk, the reflections in the water, and the trees and vines that scattered the walk..~ March 23, 2011
